The Challenge:
GBS St.Gallen stands as a cornerstone in Eastern Switzerland's educational landscape, offering apprenticeships in nearly 50 commercial and industrial professions. Despite its esteemed status, GBS St.Gallen faced challenges in effectively communicating its educational offerings to its target audience.
The existing website lacked modern features, hindering its ability to attract and inform prospective students, parents, and stakeholders. Additionally, the absence of a comprehensive blog system limited GBS's capacity to share insights, updates, and success stories with its community.
The Solution:
In collaboration with Festland, Lighthaus Eko embarked on a project to revitalize the institution's digital presence and communication strategy. The primary objective was to develop a modern website that would serve as an informative hub for prospective students and stakeholders while implementing a robust blog system to facilitate ongoing engagement and interaction.
Our team spearheaded the full website development process, crafting a user-friendly platform that effectively showcased GBS St.Gallen's educational offerings, programs, and values. Leveraging innovative web development stacks like Nuxt SSR, TYPO3 Headless CMS, and intuitive design principles, we ensured seamless navigation and accessibility across devices.
Simultaneously, we integrated a comprehensive blog system into the website, empowering GBS St.Gallen to share insightful articles, updates, and success stories with its audience. The blog system provided a platform for thought leadership, fostering greater engagement and community involvement.
The Results:
The collaborative efforts of Lighthaus Eko, Festland, and GBS culminated in the successful launch of a dynamic digital platform that significantly enhanced the institution's online presence and communication capabilities. The new website serves as a comprehensive resource for prospective students, parents, and stakeholders, offering valuable insights into GBS's educational offerings and values.
With the integration of a robust blog system, GBS can now share timely updates, industry insights, and success stories with its community. The blog system facilitates ongoing engagement and interaction, fostering a sense of community and connection among students, faculty, and stakeholders.
Overall, the digital solutions implemented by Lighthaus Eko have elevated GBS St.Gallen's digital presence and communication strategy, positioning the institution as a leader in vocational training and further education in Eastern Switzerland. The success of the project underscores the importance of collaboration and innovation in delivering impactful digital solutions for educational institutions.
Streamlined Development Process
From Concept to Software Maintenance
Discovery and Planning
For project efficiency, we begin with discovery. Here, we align functionality, prioritize goals, and coordinate strategy and prototype products. Deadlines and budgets are also defined
1Design
After developing a prototype wireframe, our design team starts to create your application style (the app’s “look and feel”). In this stage, we provide you with a full set of UI screens to use for further development
2Development
Product development advances through multiple releases, including an initial MVP. We accelerate this using Agile development, with short sprints, and parallel execution of development with design wireframes, documentation, and mockups
3Testing
Before we release any product, we conduct rigorous testing to ensure it meets our quality standards. this includes unit testing, integration testing, system testing, acceptance testing, performance testing, security testing, regression testing, and usability testing. Each test serves a specific purpose in ensuring our product is reliable, secure, and user-friendly.
4Continuous development, support, and maintenance
After releasing the MVP, our team performs new sprints to speed new releases with additional functionality. And we support and maintain the latest version of the launched app
